Theaterverein „Unter Uns" e. V. was an amateur theatre group in the Augsburg area, Bavaria, Germany, registered in Neusäß. It traced its origins to a social club founded in 1901 by factory workers in Augsburg-Oberhausen and staged Bavarian comedies until the late 2010s. The association has since been dissolved.[1][2]
History
On 28 January 1901 workers of the Wessels shoe factory met to found a club for organising their leisure activities, which they named Verein Unter Uns Oberhausen; the monthly fee was 20 pfennigs.[1] The club's chronicle records theatre productions from 1950 onwards.[3] Its last announced production was the crime farce Ein haariger Fall by J. Parzefall and R. Oehmann, planned for spring 2017 in the Bürgersaal of Stadtbergen.[4] The club's website now states that the association has been dissolved.[2]
Repertoire
The group performed Bavarian comedies and farces, from the 2000s usually two productions a year in spring and autumn.[5]
