The Theatergruppe des Volkstrachtenvereins Oberau, known as the Oberauer Theaterer, is an amateur theatre group in Oberau, district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, Germany. It was founded on 6 April 1924 within the local folk costume association, the Volkstrachtenverein „Almarausch“ Oberau, and stages comedies, musical plays, folk plays and dramas in Bavarian.[1] In 2024 it celebrated its centenary.[2]
Repertoire
The group usually rehearses new productions for spring and autumn.[1] In 2010 it performed a comedy in three acts by Ulla Kling in the Trachtenheim;[3] in 2013 the youth ensemble (de junga Theaterer) staged its own production, a children's piece in which children and young people play for adults.[4] Another production was Tratzt und verratzt.[2]
