Dat Bremmer Knubbetheater e.V. is an amateur theatre group in Bremm, a wine-growing village on the Moselle in the Cochem-Zell district, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Founded in 1999, it has staged comedies in the local Bremm dialect since 2000.

History
Theatre in Bremm goes back to the years before World War I, when the village's male voice choir (Männergesangverein) staged a play every Christmas in the hall of a local inn. Its activities, and with them the plays, stopped during both world wars; the choir resumed regular comedies and musical plays in 1947 and gave up theatre for good at the end of the 1950s.

In early 1999 young people from Bremm founded a new theatre group as a section of the local gymnastics and sports club (Turn- und Spielverein), and from then on called it Dat Bremmer Knubbetheater. The group later became a registered association of its own. The name refers to the Bremmer Knubbe, a local term for big, strong men with a good appetite for food and drink, as needed for the hard work in the vineyards and fields.

The group's first production, Schwarzenbach im Umweltfieber, premiered on 8 April 2000 in the Bremm gymnasium, with advice from the befriended theatre club Moselblümchen from Reil.

Repertoire
The group stages one comedy (Lustspiel) a year, performed in the Bremm dialect; since 2007 the titles of its productions have also been in dialect. Several of the plays are set in Bremm itself or refer to local places such as the Calmont.
